France picked up an important result in their World Cup qualifying campaign after holding Spain into a 1-1 draw in Madrid.
Les Blues’ tactician, Didier Deschamps believes that his substitutes made the difference on the pitch, allowing France to grabbed a late equalizer.
Deschamps revealed that the reason he didn’t start with those being brought on after the break was because of tactical reason. The tactician knew that they had to defend first before eventually switching into attack.
The coach is content with the draw but wasn’t all pleased as he thought France could’ve steal a win should Jeremy Menez’s goal stood.
