Denmark Followed France Into the Last 16 After Goalless Draw

Denmark confirmed their passage into the next stage of World Cup 2018 despite only picking up one point on their final group game against France.

Knowing that a draw will be enough to secure their path, didn’t immediately set their game gunning for just a point as the Danish Dynamite did give their best early on.

It was not an easy game for both Denmark and France as neither teams were keen on giving away anything at the back, triggering a very tight encounter straight from kick off.

There were several opportunities created by both teams, mostly Les Blues as they do have more talents, especially in the offensive end, compared to Age Hareide’s side.

Despite the goal scoring chances that the two teams created, none of them were converted into goals as that match eventually ended in a rather boring 0-0 draw.

Knowing that Australia losing against Peru also made things much more comfortable for Denmark as they didn’t really need to push super hard in search for goals.

That 0-0 result basically means that Les Blues finished first in group C and set to battle against the runners up of group D, which is yet to be decided.

Meanwhile, Denmark most likely will be booking a date against Croatia in the knock out stage of the tournament, which should be another tricky encounter for the Danish Dynamite.
