Disappointing news arrived for Dynamo Moscow’s midfielder, Igor Denisov as his dream of participating in this year’s Euro with his national side, Russia, vanished.
Denisov picked up an injury during Russia’s latest friendly fixture against Serbia last Sunday, which ended in a 1-1 draw.
That situation is disappointing indeed, not only for the midfielder himself, but also for head coach, Leonid Slutsky, who now need to search for an immediate replacement.
Reports suggesting that Zenit St Petersburg’s midfield man, Artur Yusupov, will be the one called up as replacement for Denisov.
Slutsky will be hoping that Denisov’s injury doesn’t give many effect for his tactical plan for Russia in the upcoming Euro 2016.
