Diego Costa got his name in the spotlight again in recent days following his clash with Everton’s Gareth Barry recently, triggering more issue regarding Costa’s absence from international duty with Spain.
However, La Furia Roja’s head coach, Vicente Del Bosque immediately denied that the reason for not calling up Costa was because of the striker recent case.
Speaking to the media ahead of Spain’s upcoming international friendlies against Italy and Romania was merely because of fitness issue.
Del Bosque also added that Costa was not entirely fit during Chelsea’s game against Everton after previously picking up a knock in The Blues’ Champions League game against Paris Saint-Germain.
Furthermore, although the former Atletico Madrid’s man condition has been getting better, but Del Bosque doesn’t want to take any risk.
