Arriving at Old Trafford back in 2015, Matteo Darmian seems that it’s time for him to leave already as the Italian international is looking for more playing time than what he has been having at Manchester United.
Darmian himself stated that wish himself in a recent interview, explaining how getting more regular playing time is simply his motive for this season, which is why he has already discussed his potential departure to the club and his manager, Jose Mourinho.
However, despite admitting his wish to leave Old Trafford, the former Milan youth player said that he won’t just force his way out, ensuring it will only happen if there’s a right offer arrive.
Darmian himself has been strongly linked with a potential return to Italian Serie A, though he refused to confirm whether any concrete offers have came for him or not.
For now, the versatile defender can only wait as he will only depart should the right proposal arrive and not wanting to leave in a bad terms with United.
Nevertheless, the 28-year-old also ensured that he won’t be sulking should he stay at Old Trafford and promised to continue working hard and doing everything he has been doing.
Darmian added that he is always grateful and proud with the chance to play for Man United, but he believes leaving for more playing time is an important decision he must make this time around.
