Conte Pleased that Italy’s Game Against Croatia Wasn’t Suspended

Italy  only managed to pick up a 1-1 draw on their latest Euro 2016 fixture against Croatia on Sunday, but that result was not the main concern from Azzurri head coach, Antonio Conte.

The tactician revealed that at he was actually more worried with the incident involving Croatia fans, which almost got that encounter suspended as there’s a moment where referee was very close in canceling things.

Conte said that it would be a huge disappointment should the tie got suspended since both teams put on a good performance which provide many entertainment for fans at San Siro.

Moreover, despite only picking up a point, Conte was quite pleased with it, especially since their opponent did put on an excellent display on that match. The tactician added his main goal for now is creating a team that can get them qualify for Euro 2016, so performance is something they’re still working on.

Although the Italian side have already collected 10 points from 4 matches, Conte warned his players not to get carried away as qualification is still far from being confirmed at the moment.
