Chelsea’s mini revival continue as Antonio Conte’s side temporarily moving their way up into the top of Premier League table following their big 5-0 win over Everton this past Saturday.
Having an excellent run, The Blues immediately put their opponent under pressure as Eden Hazard opened the scoring for his side after 19 minutes of play.
Within just a minute after that opener, Chelsea pretty much shut down Everton’s spirit as they went two goals up, this time through Marcos Alonso’s finish inside the box.
Conte’s boys basically sealed their victory before half time break when Diego Costa hammered home from inside the penalty area to make it 3-0.
The home team were not done yet though as they added two more goals after the break through Hazard and former Barcelona man, Pedro.
That 5-0 victory was another testament of how Conte’s 3-4-3 setup is working wonder for Chelsea as they continue to produce excellent result after switching to that formation.
Meanwhile, Manchester City failed to maintain their lead at the top of Premier League table following a disappointing 1-1 draw against Middlesbrough at Etihad stadium.
City looked to be heading for another victory when Sergio Aguero puts them in front jut before the half time break, giving his side that slender lead after creating plenty opportunities in that period.
However, Boro were able to get one back when Marten De Roon headed home a powerful header in stoppage time to snatch a precious away point for the visitor.
