After escaping the challenge of Rubin Kazan in the quarter finals of Europa League, Chelsea are set for another tricky battle when the latest drawing paired Rafael Benitez’s men against Basel. The Swiss side’s success in eliminating another English side, Tottenham Hotspur in previous round gave Murat Yakin’s men a belief that they can provide problems for the Blues.
Aside from Chelsea against Basel, the other Europa League semifinal will see Turkish side Fenerbahce against Benfica from Portugal. That match should also promise an attractive battle considering the quality they possessed in their rosters.
