Getting their act back together with recent victories, including their latest comfortable 4-0 win in FA Cup, Chelsea consider themselves ready for an important Champions League clash against Barcelona.
The Blues’ head coach, Antonio Conte, pretty much indicated that his side are set for that first leg battle this midweek at Stamford Bridge as he has been analyzing their opponent for at least a month now.
Conte stated that although admitting Barca are a strong team that are doing well at the moment, but Ernesto Valverde’s side are not without any weaknesses.
The former Juventus boss stated that albeit being a very solid squad, Blaugrana squad can be breach defensively without the ball, but to makes it count, the Blues must try to exploit it well.
Moreover, Conte also hoping that Lionel Messi bad scoring record against Chelsea will continue during their upcoming meeting, though the tactician admitted it won’t be easy to stop someone like the Argentinian.
Additionally, the ex-Italian national team boss also added that they must work together as a team in order to hold down Messi and his Barca teammates.
The Italian coach also said that another important key for his team to get a victory on midweek is by not losing any excitement when playing, while also maintaining respect towards their opponent.
