The big match between Chelsea and Liverpool ending in another draw, not really moving either teams forward from their current position in league standings.
Playing at Anfield, Antonio Conte’s men were setting up a counter attacking system as they defended well and push forward in such direct fashion, creating several problems for The Reds’ defense.
However, no goals were scored during the first 45 minutes as that period ended goalless and both side go back into their dressing room keen on improving things.
The home side tried to up their tempo, but nothing changed much up til a defensive error allowed Mohamed Salah to take full advantage and put Jurgen Klopp’s men ahead on 65 minutes.
Chelsea push forward even more in search for that equalizing goal and after several substitution, they finally got their reward as a lovely goal from Willian made it 1-1.
No more goals were scored afterwards as both sides must settle for a point, which can be considered precious result.
Meanwhile, Manchester United grabbed an important result to keep their title chase alive and well as they defeated Brighton and Hove Albion 1-0.
It was far from a convincing display from Man United as they were made to work hard before scoring the winner through Lewis Dunk’s own goal.
