Chelsea didn’t have to wait that long before bouncing back from their weekend defeat as this midweek Antonio Conte’s men get themselves back on winning ways
Following their shock 1-0 defeat from West Ham United, The Blues were able to pick themselves up straight away with a convincing 3-1 victory over newly promoted Huddersfield Town.
Playing away from home didn’t stop Conte’s boys from taking the attacking initiative as they immediately put out that aggressive tone straight from kick off,
The visitor’s positive approach was eventually rewarded when Tiemoue Bakayoko puts them in front on 23 minutes.
Chelsea continue to pour forward and got into a comfortable situation just before half time break as Willian doubled their lead.
Nothing changed much after the break as Eden Hazard and co still dominating proceedings and practically ended that tie with a third goal, scored by Pedro.
Huddersfield themselves were only able to pull one goal back in stoppage time through Laurent Depoitre’s effort, which served nothing more than a mere consolation for the home team.
Certainly a positive result for the defending champion as their weekend loss from West Ham brought a sort of bleak situation for their title aspiration.
Nevertheless, the season is still long and with competition for top four seat remain strong, Chelsea must keep their head up and keep getting positive results until the end of season.
