Chelsea Demolished by City, Tottenham Victorious

Chelsea’s ambition to maintain their top four seat is under serious threat this weekend as Maurizio Sarri’s men were beaten heavily by Manchester City.

The Blues suffered a massive 6-0 defeat at Etihad Stadium, making it The Blues heaviest defeat in 28 years.

Having just regained a bit of their beliefs after winning 5-0 over bottom side Huddersfield Town, Sarri’s men immediately have it against them.

The visitor found themselves going a goal down after just four minutes of play through Raheem Sterling’s opener.

Things got even worse few minutes later as Sergio Aguero scored two goals in the space of two minutes on 13th and 18th, turning the score into 3-0.

It was already 4-0 after just 25 minutes of play as Ilkay Gundogan netted City’s fourth which lasted until half time break.

In the second half, the home team still looking for goals, albeit not with the same intensity as their first period.

Nevertheless, Pep Guardiola’s side managed to add two more goals, courtesy of Sergio Aguero’s penalty on 56 minutes and Raheem Sterling’s second 10 minutes from time.

In another match, Tottenham Hotspur keeping their title shot alive and well following a much needed 3-1 home win over Leicester City.

Davinson Sanchez opened the scoring for Spurs after 33 minutes of play and Christian Eriksen made it 2-0 oon 63 minutes, not long after Leicester missed a penalty.

Jamie Vardy paid for his penalty miss after scoring on 76 minutes, but The Lilywhites secured their victory thanks to Son Heung-Min’s effort in stoppage time.
