Chelsea’s midfielder, Cesc Fabregas was praised this midweek as his two extra time goals in their 4-2 win over Leicester, put The Blues in the next round of League Cup, but apparently it might not be enough to ensure him a starting spot as just yet.
This situation was stated by Blues’ manager, Antonio Conte, who stated that although he enjoyed Fabregas’ performance, but that won’t guarantee anything as just yet.
Conte stated that everyone in his squad have similar shot to start in their next game against Arsenal and he is keen on seeing healthy competition for places.
The Italian tactician is notably please to see Fabregas putting on a positive display, but as always he is more keen on putting a balance squad instead of just playing big names.
Nevertheless, Fabregas’ showing could create an interesting situation for January market, as the Spaniard do have some offers that could interest him.
