Lady luck was smiling brightly on Celtic FC as the Scottish side received a ‘gift’ from UEFA after they got reinstated into the play off round of Champions League despite suffering a 6-1 aggregate defeat over Legia Warsaw.
That decision was made by UEFA because the Polish club made a technical error in playing an ineligible player as substitute during their second leg match against Celtic which Legia won 4-1.
Although it was a joyful decision, but Celtic manager, Ronny Delia admitted that his team were more than just lucky and stating that it was a very strange decision made by UEFA.
Nevertheless, Delia ensured that his team are now working hard to prepare for their upcoming Champions League play off, a situation which they didn’t really expecting.
It remain to be seen whether the Scotland side can make their way into the group stage of UEFA Champions League as they are facing NK Maribor in their next encounter.
