Italy’s recent success in defeating Spain during Euro 2016 doesn’t mean that Azzurri are favorite for their upcoming World Cup 2018 qualifier according to defender Leonardo Bonucci.
The Juventus’ star stated in a recent news conference that based on the quality of players they have, La Furia Roja should still be considered as favorite.
Nevertheless, Bonucci doesn’t lose any confidence for that upcoming tie as he believes Italy can win it if they put on similar kind of display that they did in Euro.
Although stating that their meeting won’t be decisive as just yet, but the center back believes that it’s an important test for Azzurri to simply see out their quality and ensuring that their World Cup qualifier ambition remain on track.
