Cristiano Ronaldo finally made his return from injury this midweek as he helped Portugal to defeat Ireland 5-1 in a friendly fixture ahead of the European Selecao’s World Cup campaign.
Although the Real Madrid man failed to score any goals in that tie, but his contribution was pretty good as head coach, Paulo Bento was very happy with what he seen from his star man on that game.
Admitting that Ronaldo wasn’t at his best yet, Bento revealed that considering his recent injury, what the former Manchester United player shown against Ireland was very promising indeed.
Now with the return of their talisman, Bento are ordering his players to set their focus for the upcoming World Cup game against Germany, which will also both teams opening fixture on that tournament.
The tactician also revealed that they are taking each of their opponents at a time, so for now they will only be thinking about ways to handle Germany and won’t be concerning about USA or Ghana as just yet.
