Bellerin Hoping to Hold Starting Spot at Arsenal
Being strongly rumored to be leaving his club, Arsenal to Barcelona this summer, it looks like Hector Bellerin will still be staying at Emirates this season, especially since the Catalan side have signed a new right back.
Hinting at his stay at the London based outfit, Bellerin recently stated to the media his hope of holding on to his first team place which was lost a bit at the end of last season due to injury and formation change.
Speaking more about the new 3-4-3 system that is being implemented by Gunners’ boss, Arsene Wenger, the Spanish right back admitted that he is struggling to keep his spot because of it.
However, the young defender vows to adapt and give his best so he can get that regular spot back again for Arsenal’s upcoming season, which will also be a World Cup year.
In ensuring to get his spot back in the first team line up, Bellerin also stated that he won’t be scared of any competition as he believes that it will actually do him good.
The 22-year-old stated that having to compete for a spot might be better for him because it will keep him prepare and ready at any given moment, instead of getting too comfortable because already getting an insurance to start.
