Bayern Munich’s wantaway starlet, Mathys Tel is looking to leave the club as he is keen on getting more playing time. Several clubs, including Tottenham Hotspur, have been keen on signing him but it looks like he won’t be joining Ange Postecoglu’s side.
Mathys Tel Rejects Tottenham’s Offer
The 19-year-old striker has been one of the most sought-after talents in this winter transfer window, especially with his lack of playing time at Bayern. Tel was initially not keen on leaving the Bavarian club, but he changed his mind in the last few days and is now open to move elsewhere.
Bayern themselves are also open to letting the player pursue his career and get more playing time whether it’s on loan or permanent transfer. One of the clubs that are very keen on getting him is Tottenham, which has presented an official offer for both FC Hollywood and Tel himself.
According to reports from transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, Spurs are ready to sign the Frenchman for a package worth 60m Euro. Bayern reportedly are open to selling for that amount but Tel has now rejected that proposal.
Tel to Consider Other Offers as Tottenham Look for Alternatives
Following his rejection of the Lilywhites’ offer, the young attacker will reportedly continue to check other proposals. Teams like Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, and Aston Villa are reportedly among the clubs that have contacted the player’s representative.
Meanwhile, Tottenham which needs new players due to their injury problems will now look for other alternatives unless the player suddenly changes his mind. For now, Spurs are set to consider other targets, including AC Milan’s attacker, Noah Okafor, who is available for transfer.
However, the latest reports suggest that the London-based outfit seems more keen on dealing for Fikayo Tomori with Milan instead of Okafor. There’s still time left in the transfer market though and many things can still happen.
