Defending champion, Bayern Munich still not showing signs of slowing down from their Bundesliga title challenge as they restarted their season after recent winter break with a victory over Hamburg.
It was not an easy win though as their opponent gave a resilient effort, but two goals from Robert Lewandowski were enough to secure a 2-1 away win for Pep Guardiola’s men.
That victory maintained Bayern’s eight points gap with current runners up, Borussia Dortmund, which also picked up all three points on their game against Borussia Moenchengladbach.
Meanwhile, third place seat Hertha Berlin can’t get any closer to those two teams ahead of them after only grabbing a point against Augsburg.
Playing at home, Hertha failed to make the most of that advantage as they were left frustrated after failing to break down their opponent’s tight defense.
