The rumors that have been swirling around in recent days came into reality this weekend as Bayern Munich officially announced Carlo Ancelotti as their future head coach, starting from next season.
This decision arrived soon after Pep Guardiola confirmed that he won’t be extending his stay at Allianz Arena and will be leaving Bayern next summer.
Bayern’s decision in taking Ancelotti was not really a surprise since many media already predicted the move, after Guardiola seemingly not showing any signs of accepting a contract extension with the Bavarian.
Ancelotti himself has vows not to take any team this season after he was sacked as Real Madrid head coach earlier this summer.
The Italian tactician rejected several offers earlier, notably from former club AC Milan, stating his reason of not wanting to coach yet this time around.
Nevertheless, since Bayern’s job itself won’t start until next summer, Ancelotti didn’t really have any reason to reject as he is signing a three year deal with the Bundesliga giant.
