A disappointing news arrived for Barcelona player, Javier Mascherano as he just received a one year prison sentenced due to tax related offences.
Mascherano was found guilty for not paying his taxes back on 2011 to 2012 which worth nearly 1.5 million Euro, resulting into that recent jail sentence.
Nevertheless, the player’s attorney has made an appeal so that Mascherano won’t have to spent time in prison by asking for it to be replaced in 21,000 Euro fine instead.
Final decision about whether the midfielder will have to serve his jail sentence or pay an extra fine instead won’t be announced until the next few days.
Aside from Mascherano, Spain tax office have also suspected other two Barca stars for having similar situation, they are Lionel Messi and Neymar.
