The future of French international striker, Antoine Griezmann continue to be an interesting subject as the current season coming to an end.
Griezmann’s current club, Atletico Madrid are not particularly happy though with the rumors regarding their star player’s future, notably regarding the Frenchman’s continuous link with Barcelona.
Recently, the striker’s potential arrival at Barcelona was even mentioned by the Catalan club’s star, Luis Suarez and their president, Josep Maria Bartomeu.
Statements from those two have enraged Atletico’s management as their CEO, Miguel Angel Gil Marin, have slammed the new La Liga champion for their bad attitude.
Speaking to the media, Gil Marin shouted out his disappointment over statements made by both Bartomeu and Suarez, claiming that they were simply being disrespectful.
Moreover, the CEO also claimed that they have not agree on anything with Barcelona up till now and doesn’t have any plan on selling Griezmann.
However, knowing that the French international has a 100 million clause on him, there might not be anything much that Atleti can do in stopping the transfer to happen.
Certainly if Griezmann himself is not keen on leaving Los Rojiblancos, Diego Simeone’s side can breath a sigh of relief, but it’s still something uncertain up til now.
The attacker did promised to clear things up before focusing on World Cup 2018 this summer, so there could be an immediate clarity arriving sometime soon.
