Last year’s Champions League finalist, Atletico Madrid are facing a tough task just to get themselves through from their group after suffering a 3-2 defeat on their opening match against Olympiacos.
Although it’s still early in the competition, Atletico head coach, Diego Simeone believes that his team now have it all to do now especially with both Olympiacos and Juventus taking all three points in their group.
Simeone stated that with their defeat, Atletico must now take a more cautious approach into their upcoming games as they can’t afford to lose more points if they’re still keen on advancing into the next stage.
Despite his statement, Atletico are still being considered as one of the favorites to advance in their group along with Juventus, but the Spanish side’s defeat from Olympiacos are making things more interesting indeed.
