Following Arsenal’s massive 5-1 defeat over Bayern Munich in their Champions League knock out stage’s first leg this midweek, questions regarding Arsene Wenger’s future at Emirates are being raised in a stronger fashion.
However, the French tactician still not keen on providing any clarity regarding his status with the club once his current deal ends by the end of this season.
Answering questions from the media, Wenger only stated that he won’t be retiring anytime soon and plans to keep managing a club next season.
The tactician didn’t say whether he will continue at Arsenal or not though, saying that even if he doesn’t stay he is going to keep coaching even if it’s outside of Emirates.
Moreover, Wenger also added that clarity regarding his status is not going to be announced until either March or April, claiming that he still doesn’t know what he will decide.
Nevertheless, the manager insist that he do have strong affection towards Gunners and is only keen on doing what’s best for the club.
That’s why the veteran tactician believes it’s important for Arsenal management to make sure that the club will be in safe hands next season, with our without him on the bench.
Although many Gunners’ devotees might be expecting something clearer, but for now they must remain patient while waiting what decision that Wenger will eventually make.
