Almost losing any hope of getting back into England national setup for 2018 World Cup, Arsenal midfielder, Jack Wilshere is now happy following his recent call up for Three Lions’ upcoming friendly matches.
Wilshere admitted that it’s not something he was expecting to happen this season, especially since earlier this past summer he was told that Gunners not that keen in offering him a new deal and was even allowed to leave before this season start.
The 26-year-old admitted that he was not happy upon hearing that, but appreciated Arsene Wenger’s honesty and furthermore grateful with the manager as he still gives him opportunities this season.
Opting to stay and regain his fitness at Arsenal this season, Wilshere finally bears fruits of his strong will as he has been performing more regularly in recent games and putting on strong performances along the way.
Although admitting that he still not feeling 100% as just yet, but the midfielder is confident that he can continue to improve and built his form ahead of upcoming World Cup.
Wilshere added that representing the national team has always been something he cherishes, that’s why he is working hard in a hope to get himself into Gareth Southgate selection for Russia 2018.
Regarding his future, the player himself still hasn’t agree to a new deal at Arsenal and may have already consider other options since he will be a free agent next summer with many clubs such as AC Milan and Juventus reportedly interested.
