An interesting story was revealed by Arsenal’s veteran midfielder, Mikel Arteta on Gunners’ channel stating that at one moment of his career, he could have been an England international.
That moment occurred during his time with Everton, as he was shining under David Moyes’ tenure, Three Lions’ manager at that time, Fabio Capello was impressed and offered Arteta that shot.
Notably, Arteta needed time to think and eventually because of difficult process at that time, the didn’t go through with that opportunity.
Nevertheless, the midfielder is still happy with his career, especially after his memorable winning goal which helped Gunners won the FA Cup couple years back.
