Contrasting results earned by Arsenal and Liverpool this midweek on their English Premier League fixtures as Gunners suffered a shock defeat from Swansea while The Reds Thumped Huddersfield Town.

Keen on showcasing their new spirit with new boy, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and playing without Alexis Sanchez, things seeming looking well for Arsene Wenger’s men when they got in front on 33 minutes through Nacho Monreal.

However, that lead lasted only a minute as Swansea drew level with an effort from Samuel Clucas, forcing the first 45 minutes to end in a 1-1 draw.

Things suddenly turned into the home team’s favor midway into the second period when they netted their second through Jordan Ayew’s effort.

Swansea eventually sealed their victory by netting the third goal, once again from Clucas’ strike, completing his brace in that game and causing woes for Gunners’ new era after Sanchez’s departure.

Meanwhile, Liverpool rediscovered their winning stripe as they demolished Huddersfield Town 3-0 on Tuesday.

Emre Can started The Reds’ dominance as he opened his team’s scoring on 26 minutes, before Roberto Firmino made it more comfortable for the away side just before half time break.

Nothing changed much after the break as Liverpool still dominate proceedings and were able to add a third goal through Mohamed Salah’s spot kick on 78 minutes.
