Arsenal keeping their top four hope alive and well as they grabbed an important victory against Arsenal this midweek.
Needing a win to keep up their pace with other top four contenders, Gunners immediately put on an attacking display straight from kick off.
The away team’s positive approach was rewarded on 25 minutes when they got themselves in front through Shkodran Mustafi, which lasted until half time break.
Palace were not keen on giving up easily as after the break they upped their game and earned themselves an equalizing goal from Andros Townsend’s effort just five minutes after the restart.
It didn’t took long though for Arsene Wenger’s men to regain their lead as Alexis Sanchez puts them in front again with his goal on 62 minutes.
Four minutes later, the Chile international star continue to prove his worth by netting his second, giving his team that bit of breathing room as they lead 3-1.
The home team still not laying down though as they kept on battling and were able to pull one more goal back with James Tomkins’ late effort on 89 minutes.
However, there’s not enough time for Palace to get back on level terms as Arsenal holding on to their slender lead until the final whistle was blown.
