Arsenal ending their Europa League group stage campaign in a positive fashion as they picked up a 1-0 home win over Qarabag, which secured their group winner status.
Heading into the match still needing at least a point to secure top seat ahead of Sporting, Gunners immediately got on the offensive straight from kick off.
The home team didn’t need to wait long before getting their reward as Unai Emery’s men got the break through after just 16 minutes of play through Alexandre Lacazette’s effort.
That slender score line lasted until half time break as neither sides were able to score more during the first 45 minutes.
After the break, not much changes happened as both teams were still trying to give their best but Arsenal comfortably holding on to their 1-0 result until the final whistle was blown.
In another tie, Chelsea failed to end their group stage experience with a 100% winning record after picking up a 2-2 draw against Vidi.
The Blues got themselves ahead after 30 minutes of play through Willian, but within just two minutes later their opponent drew level following an own goal by Ethan Ampadu.
After the break it was Vidi that turned things around as they went ahead from Loic Nego’s goal, which was eventually canceled out on 75 minutes by Olivier Giroud.
