Arsenal were victorious in the recent London Derby battle against Chelsea as Unai Emery’s men showcasing that they are still alive and well by beating The Blues 2-0.
It was an intriguing contest for two teams that have been losing a bit of their form recently, though The Blues are still in a better position.
Playing at home, Gunners started of brightly as they able to put plenty of pressure of Chelsea’s defense straight from kick off.
The home team’s attacking waves were finally rewarded when Alexander Lacazette puts them in front after just 14 minutes.
Sarri’s men tried hard to get back into that match as they start to pour forward even more in search for the equalizing goal.
However, instead of scoring, The Blues found themselves conceding a second as Laurent Koscielny made it 2-0 on 39 minutes.
Chelsea were more dominant in the second half as Gunners were playing more on the counter, trying to take advantage over the gaps created.
Despite their dominance, The Blues were struggling to break down their opponent’s defense as Sarri’s men have to accept a disappointing result.
Meanwhile, Manchester United can’t seem to stop winning under Solksjaer as they defeated Brighton and Hove Albion 2-1.
Paul Pogba opened the scoring for United from the penalty spot on 27 minutes, before Marcus Rashford made it 2-0 just before half time break.
Brighton tried to get back into that match, but only able to pull one back from Pascal Gross’ effort.
