Drawing 1-1 on their opening group game against Iceland, Argentina find themselves in difficult situation as they can’t let things slip again as they battle against Croatia.
Playing against the Balkan based side won’t be an easy task for Jorge Sampaoli’s men, but the tactician seeming set to make some changes in personnel and possible formation compared their first group game.
It will be interesting to see how big will the changes that Argentina make this Thursday and how influential would that effect their performance against Zlatko Dalic’s men.
Argentina acknowledge that their 1-1 draw against Iceland certainly make things more complicated, especially if they failed to get all three points as it will make their final group game an even more pressured tie.
Croatia themselves are in a much better situation following their victory over Nigeria which put them top of the group with three points.
Another victory will most likely secure their place in the knock out stage, so targeting a win is something that Dalic’s men set to do.
Nevertheless, drawing the game won’t be a disaster for Croatia, though it’s never good to go into any game just looking for a point.
Despite recent troubling issue with Nikola Kalinic being sent home, Dalic’s team doesn’t seem to be affected by it and continue their preparation well.
Knowing that neither teams plan to play a defensive football, this tie should be intriguing and exciting to watch for all football lovers.
