Failing to win their last three major tournament finals in a row, Argentina are very determined in changing their bad fortune by targeting the World Cup 2018.

However, before even thinking that far, Albiceleste must first face a quite tricky test on their first group game as they set for a battle against Iceland.

Having to go through their last game before securing their spot in Russia, Argentina are keen on showcasing their quality and defeating Iceland will certainly help that cause.

Despite having several famous names in world football such as Paulo Dybala, Sergio Aguero or Gonzalo Higuain, but Lionel Messi remain the integral key part for Albiceleste in Russia.

That’s why it’s important for the South American giant to get the Barcelona star going since early minutes if they want to secure all three points against their European opposition.

As for Australia, they will be facing Jorge Sampaoli side in a supposedly comfortable fashion, knowing that there’s little to none pressure being put on Heimir Hallgrimsson’s side.

Being a huge underdog can give certain advantages and playing free without much pressure is certainly one of that plus point that Our Boys players will try to maximize.

Although they haven’t had the best final preparation before the World Cup as they lose all of their last four matches,  Iceland doesn’t seem to have any concern, believing that their players can always rise up to the occasion.

Probable starting line up:

Argentina: Wilfredo Caballero(g); Eduardo Salvio, Nicolas Otamendi, Marcos Rojo, Nicolas Tagliafico; Javier Mascherano, Lucas Biglia; Maximiliano Meza, Lionel Messi, Angel Di Maria; Sergio Aguero
