Anderlecht saw their chance in snatching this season’s Belgium Pro League title vanished after only grabbing a 2-2 draw over Kortrijk this past midweek.
That result was not enough to keep Anderlecht chasing the top seat position, which is currently being occupied by Genk.
Meanwhile, a more positive news arrived for Club Brugge as they still keeping their hope of winning the league alive thanks to a slender 3-2 win against Charleroi.
Tom De Sutter’s strike on 61 minutes proved decisive for Brugge as it gave them all three points despite having to suffer a nervy ending when Charleroi made it 3-2 on 81 minutes through Jessy Galvez Lopez.
