Bayern Munich’s 3-0 defeat from Paris Saint-Germain in their latest Champions League group stage fixture apparently cost more than just three points for the Bavarian.
That result apparently has now cost the job of Carlo Ancelotti as the Bundesliga giant officially confirmed on their club website that both parties have decided to part ways in this early stage of season.
Moreover, Bayern also announced that for the time being, assistant coach, Willy Sagnol will be acting as replacement before they appointed an official replacement for Ancelotti.
A quite surprising outcome indeed, notably since the Italian tactician did manage to win the Bundesliga league title last season, which was his first season at Allianz Arena.
However, a rather below part performances since the start of season, added with their disappointing 3-0 defeat from PSG on Wednesday apparently triggered Bayern’s management to cut their ties with Ancelotti.
Albeit can be considered as a surprising decision, but signs towards this situation have been occurring lately, notably with several complaints that kept on coming from the Bavarian side senior players.
Not only that, the German giant’s target in winning the Champions League again seemingly becomes somewhat a burden for Ancelotti as it puts him under constant pressure, especially since their failure to even reach the semifinal last season.
