Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain Close to Liverpool Move After Rejecting Chelsea
The final date for this summer transfer window is closing in and many deals are still expected to happen including Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s potential departure from Arsenal.
After previous reports linking the player to Chelsea a day ago, now it seems that the England international will be heading towards Liverpool as he apparently rejected The Blues’ offer for his supposedly boyhood club.
According to many reports in England, Oxlade-Chamberlain will be heading to Anfield in a deal which worth around 40 million pound, though official confirmation from either clubs remain missing up till now.
Having just one year left on his contract with the Gunners, Ox’s departure is something that many already predicted since the start of this summer window, though Arsene Wenger constantly stating his wish of keeping the versatile player.
However, the former Southampton youngster’s strong wish to have a shot in playing as central midfielder reportedly plays a part on his decision in departing from Emirates and pick Liverpool instead.
Knowing how Arsenal have been setting up a 3-4-3 formation recently, Wenger seems more keen on playing Oxlade-Chamberlain as a right wing back, instead of playing him as one of the midfield players.
