Tottenham Hotspur got off to a winning start under new manager Andre Villas-Boas, all be it against League 1 side Stevenage. But as well as the manager getting a win in his first game in charge, his new signing got a first goal for the club.
Gylfi Sigurdsson is one of two new additions to the playing staff at White Hart Lane this summer, along with defender Jan Vertonghen. They’re joining a side who finished fourth in the Premier League last season and the Icelandic international is certain the pair have joined a good group.
That trip to the States will include games against David Beckham’s LA Galaxy, Thierry Henry’s New York Red Bulls and fellow Premier League side Liverpool.
