Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has refused to be too downcast about his side’s Champions League chances after their 2-1 defeat to Napoli on Tuesday evening.
Edison Cavani’s two goals leaves City third in Group A and hoping that Villarreal can avoid losing to Napoli in Spain in two weeks, whilst City must beat Bayern Munich in Manchester to have any chance of qualification. Mancini said, ‘We have another game and Villarreal can beat Napoli’.
‘It is the first time we have played Champions League but I don’t think Villarreal will lose another game, they can win or draw – why not? Everything is not finished – never say never’.
