Arsenal keeping their hope in winning a title this season alive as they made their way into the final of FA Cup after defeating Wigan Athletic at Wembley Stadium.
Facing a team that are one division below them looked to be a common thing for Arsenal, but it was far from an easy task as Arsene Wenger's men were facing such difficult game.
The Gunners tried to take control of that tie, but were unable to break down their opponent as it was Wigan that got themselves in front through Jordi Gomez's spot kick on 63 minutes.
Arsenal managed to got back on level terms though when Per Mertesacker scored an equalizing goal eight minutes from time, pushing that semifinals stage into an extra time.
With both teams failing to score any goals during that 2x15 extra minutes, the game was heading into a penalty shoot out.
Arsenal eventually coming away as winner in that tie with goal keeper, Lukasz Fabianski putting on a heroic effort by blocking several shots from Wigan's kick takers.
