Bayer Leverkusen's ambition in keeping their title challenge for this season's Bundesliga suffered another set back this weekend as they picked up a disappointing league defeat against Werder Bremen on Saturday. Already failing to grab all three points on their latest Bundesliga fixture, Leverkusen were determined to set things right this weekend as they travel to Bremen. However, it was another difficult contest for the away side as their opponent putting on such solid display on that day.
After a rather disappointing first 45 minutes which ended in goalless draw, it was Bremen that came away with all three points from that weekend encounter when Santiago Garcia puts them in front on 74 minutes. That single goal was more than enough to secure all three points for the home side as Leverkusen failed to snatch an equalizing goal up till the final whistle was blown.
