Spain side, Villarreal grabbed an important result on their latest Europa League fixture after defeating FC Zurich at Madrigal stadium.

The home side made an aggressive start into that tie as they went ahead after just six minutes of play through Cani's effort.

However, that early lead was canceled out two minutes before half time break as Marco Schonbachler equalized for Zurich.

Villarreal regained their lead after the break when Luciano Vietto scored on 57 minutes, which was soon followed by Bruno's goal in three minutes time.

The host sealed all three points on that match with a fourth goal which was netted by Giovani Dos Santos on 78 minutes.
