Viktoria Plzen dramatically grabbed a ticket into this season's Europa League after snatching a home win over CSKA Moscow this midweek. Playing in front of their home crowd, Plzen were keen on bagging maximum result as they haven't won a single match ahead of that Tuesday battle.
Both teams failed to score though in the first 45 minutes as that half ended in goalless draw, midway into the second period, it was CSKA that got things going as they went ahead through Ahmed Musa's effort on 65 minutes. Plzen reacted positively after that goal as they got back on level terms thanks to an effort from Daniel Kolar on 76 minutes, before Thomas Wagner turned things around with his effort on the 90th minute mark.
