Current J-League runners up, Vegalta Sendai maintain their title challenge after beating Vissel Kobe 2-1 at home. Kobe gave some scarce for the host as they took the lead through Yuzo Tashiro's header after 19 minutes of play.
Sendai eventually got the equalizer few minutes before the half time break through Shingo Akamine, also with a flying header which blast through the visitor's net. The winning goal for the home team arrived in the final minute of the match when Jiro Kamata's acrobatic shot blast through Kobe's goal.
The victory puts Sendai two points behind league leader, Sanfrence Hiroshima.
