Uruguay showed their pedigree as one of the top sides in upcoming World Cup 2014 as they grabbed a slender win over Northern Ireland on Friday.
Still playing without their star striker, Luis Suarez, Uruguay were keen to prove their quality by putting on an aggressive display straight from kick off.
It wasn't an easy task though for the home side to break down their opponent, especially during the first 45 minutes as Northern Ireland put on a solid display during that period.
After the break, Uruguay continue their push forward and midway into that second half, they finally got their goal thanks to an effort from Christian Stuani who scored on 62 minutes.
No more goals were scored though afterwards as that tie ended in a slender goal victory for the South American giant.
