Playing away from home didn't stop The Reds from playing an attacking shape as they started their new signing, Mario Balotelli to give more spark up front.
Although Balotelli might not contributed too much, but his presence helped Liverpool in looking sharp up front as their positive effort was rewarded with an opening goal from Raheem Sterling after eight minutes.
Spurs tried to get themselves back on level terms but were finding difficulties in getting an equalizer as the first 45 minutes ended with slender lead for Liverpool.
After the break, Brendan Rodgers' men continue their positive approach and found themselves two goals up after Steven Gerrard converted a spot kick on 49 minutes.
The home side still didn't give things up as they push further forward in search for goals, but consequently leaving more space at the back.
That space was being taken into an advantage by Liverpool as they sealed all three points in that game through an effort from Alberto Moreno on 60 minutes.
