Sunderland Vs Tottenham Highlights:Tottenham was forced to come back from behind after falling behind 1-0 in the 1rst half and defeat Sunderland with a tight score of 2-1. All of the goals from the visitors arrived in the 2nd period of the match.
Jermain Defoe created a splendid moment to break the deadlock when he found enough space to deliver a low cross that was poorly dealt by the defender Carlos Cuellar and this allowed Adebayor to step in and capitalize but the Togolese striker saw his effort being smashed in by the crossbar and failing to score.
Andre Villa- Boas side kept on pushing upfront as they were the obvious better team in the pitch but a shocking moment arrived when Steven Fletcher collected the ball in midfield and launched a shot that was blocked by Hugo Lloris but the French goalkeeper spilled it over to O’Shea as he opened up the scoreboard at the 40th minute.
The equalizer came in the early minutes of the 2nd half through a header of Gareth Bale and fortunately for him it took a deflection from Cuellar who scored in his own net.
Some few minutes later Aaron Lennon completed the comeback as he scored the 2nd for Tottenham which was enough for them to snatch the victory.
