Stoke City Vs Southampton Highlights:Nigel Adkin’s side wished they could’ve clinched more than a single point when playing against Stoke in the Britannia Stadium and ending up with a 3-3 draw.
As early as the 10th minute and already the goals were starting on arriving with Rickie Lambert kicking things off for Southampton when he reached for the cross of Guly Do Prado and with the easiest of touches he tapped it inside the net.
The game was being played from side to side and 6 minutes later the opening goal Stoke found the equalizer. Kenwyne Jones received a pass from Shotton and the forward slipped it home with an impressive back heel that slipped into the further corner.
A goal from Jay Rodriguez and an own goal from Wilkinson turned the game 3-1 before the end of the 1rst half.
Matthew Upson of Stoke later changed the score to a closer result of 3-2 when he was able to capitalize on a corner that was launched and tuck it past Davis.
Just when it seemed as it Southampton was gonna take all 3 points, Jerome Davis arrived and rescued 1 point for his side by scoring the 3rd goal of Stoke that forced both squads on settling to 1 point.
