Stoke City advanced into the next stages of FA Cup competition this season after they successfully eliminating Championship side, Leicester City this past weekend. The home side were really eager in keeping their recent positive league run going strong as they immediately set themselves into an attacking mode against Leicester. That positive effort was not fruitless as the host got themselves in front after just 16 minutes of play with an effort from Kenway Jones.
Already taking a slender lead in the first 45 minutes, Stoke kept on pouring forward after the break and eventually able to double their lead when Charlie Adam hit the net on 55 minutes. Leicester did't give up easily though, but they were only able to pull one goal back with David Nugent scoring on 77 minutes.
