Stoke City grabbing an important result on their latest English Premier League fixture as they successfully defeated Aston Villa this past Saturday at Brittania Stadium. Eager to maintain their mid-table position this weekend, Stoke put on an aggressive display since kick off as they push for early goals against their opponent. It wasn't an easy task though for the home side as Villa also putting on a strong display, especially in the first 45 minutes which ends in a goalless draw.
After the break, things still looking tight early on but on 50 minutes, Stoke finally got themselves a break through when Charlie Adam got his name in the score sheet. The away side were not keen on giving things up though as they bounced back rapidly and got back on level terms with an effort from Libor Kozak who scored on 66 minutes. Stoke regained their lead pretty quickly though as four minutes afterwards they netted a second goal from Peter Crouch's effort which lasted until the final whistle was blown.
