Hearts' ambition in escaping from relegation threat this season continue to get tougher as they failed to pick up three points from their latest Scottish Premiere League fixture against St Mirren this weekend. Things didn't look good at all for the away side when they found themselves trailing after only three minutes when Steven Thompson scored for Mirren. That early strike fortunately didn't drop the visitor's spirit as they kept on pushing hard to get themselves back into that weekend tie.
Failing to level things during the first 45 minutes, Hearts finally got themselves back on level terms early into the second period thanks to an effort from Jamiel Hamill's effort. Despite both teams attempts in pushing hard for more goals, none of them were able to convert their remaining goal scoring opportunities as that battle finally ended in a 1-1 draw.
