Spartak still has not picked up a single triumph so far in their Champions League campaign leaving them at the last spot of Group G with no points while Celtic on other hand secured the 1rst place spot ahead of Barcelona who still have to play their respective game tomorrow evening.
The hosts commenced the game putting their men upfront with high pressure and looking for an early goal this left their own half vulnerable this was evident after Victor Wanyama was found rushing down the right wing and later dropped a deep pass to Hooper who managed to beat 2 defenders and slipped the ball past the goalkeeper with a simple tap in.
Emenike would later score the last goal of this 1rst half following a long but precise cross from Ari which arrived into the path of Spartak’s striker who bursted just in time to tuck it home. The 25 years old Nigerian striker found the back of the net for a 2nd time only a few minutes after the break. It arrived when Ari tried to score a of his own and he slammed the ball into the hands of Forster but the goalkeeper was not able to keep it under his control as he spilled it right infront of his box and Demy De Zeeuw slid the ball back to Emenike as he turned the score 2-1.
Celtic got back into the game as they were reaching the final 30 minutes, the visitors scooped 2 goals as they snatched all 3 points from this encounter. Kombarov scored an own goal at the 71st minute when the ball was deflected off of him and into his net. Samaras finished everything off with a header at the very last minute of the game.
